Let's Rank - Robot Masters & Mega Man Games (Double Feature)

File:Robotmasters.png

Capcom's legendary gaming icon "Mega Man" has well over a hundred villainous Robot Masters ready to rival him in his fight against the tyrannical Dr. Wily, and while none stand a fighting chance against our heroic Blue Bombers, always saving the day; some of them definitely stole the show more than once - let's rank them! In this Double Feature, don't miss Page 2 where we rank each 12 Classic Mega Man Games. Which is the better Mega Man game, surprise!

#10 Gemini Man

Let me read your horoscope - spells like danger! It's two against one this time, Mega Man, can you handle it? Gemini Man takes the twin theme to his stage, filled with spermazoidal enemies?
Well, if you can look past that, he's a menace! Each of his selves takes turns jumping to the left side of the screen, running to the right, then repeating. Firing shots will cause the clone on the ground to turn around and fire at Mega Man. Once his strategy is broken and his clone defeated, Gemini Man will prance around firing his equally lethal "Gemini Laser", a reflective laser bouncing around the room spastically. We like his spunky design, which makes us think he and his twins are a trouble-making bunch!

#9 Pirate Man

"Yarr, you are a pirate!". So we thought about adding Shadow Man to this list, but as we all know - "Pirates are better than Ninjas!", so how could we? We always strive to deliver the objective truth to our readers, they deserve as much. I mean, look at him, do I even need to explain to you, why he is on this list? Granted, I'm talking shit because I don't know what to say about this robot master, aside from his absolutely sublime design, there's something about Mega Man & Bass robot masters...
I guess Pirate Man has one of the chillest stages and themes of any Mega Man game, floating through it feels blissful. Pirate Man and Dive Man don't get along very well, as they prefer opposite principles regarding the sea; Pirate Man is unscrupulous while Dive Man is more honorable.

#8 Pharaoh Man

When he's not putting Mega Man back in his rightful place with a serving of knuckle sandwich, Pharaoh Man is essentially a tomb raider, although he sees himself as an archaeologist and sometimes a king. His design, truly fit for a king.  Pharaoh Man earns his title as a "boss", with over one thousand Mummira bots working under him, he is however timid near beautiful women, how cute. And despite being awesome, he poses a challenge in Mega Man 4, which is a feat in itself, as most Robot Master of this entry were the intellectual equal of a lima bean.

#7 Snake Man

Despite being in two entirely different entries, Snake Man and Toad Man have inspired yaoi and Mega Man fans to couple the two opposites in a yandere - dandere dynamics.  Poor Toad Man!
This Orochimaru captivated fans with his awesome snake-themed stage, sinister design, and catchy theme song. Snake Man is intelligent and shrewd, a cold-blooded robot made to prey and hunt.
He is the first Robot Master modeled after an animal, later joined by Toad Man and Sheep Man.
Anyway, Snake Man x Toad Man forever!

#6 Magic Man

Magic Man?! - as dumb as it sounds, they made it work! He enjoys surprising people with magic and tricks. Currently practicing card reading. Forget about Clown Man, while Magic Man directly tramps on his territory, stealing his enemies directly from his stage, as well as bearing a similar theme; Magic Man is just a Clown Man without the creeps - perfect! His elegance makes him stand out, only rivaled by Tundra Man's figure skating extravaganzas. His weapon, "Magic Card" - of course - steals your resources and heals him, pressuring you to end the fight swiftly.  We love his design and eloquent, elegant, and eccentric personality. Reminding us of the infamous Pegasus from "Yu-Gi-Oh!".

#5 Pluto

He's not a man or a robot, he's all beast and certainly a Robot Master! Despite misconception, Pluto is named after the dwarf planet Pluto, which is named after the Roman god of the underworld. Sorry, Mickey Mouse! This adorable, manicure-loving fluffball captured our heart after his introduction in the Gameboy classic "Mega Man V". We just love cats, can't we keep him, mom... in our Top 10?!
His stage theme is one of the best of the Mega Man games, despite the Game Boy's sound limitation. Pluto fights much like a Slash Man on steroids - or rather catnip. He should be fought last, as his terrible "Break Dash" makes him - almost - invincible for a short while!
Pluto's weakness to the "Grab B" might be a reference to how cats do not like being picked up!

#4 Turbo Man

Love is in Danger! Love is in Danger! Turbo Man has everything to pick up chicks and be considered the coolest Robot Master ever and a hit with the ladies: race cars, sunglasses, nice shoulders...
His stage is quite enjoyable, a walk through a garage with tires bouncing Mega around, punishing you harshly for failure, as well as fiery hazards. His description claims he is equipped with a car stereo, how's that for absolutely radical! Now he just needs an airbag - against this ruthless opponent, his Scorch Wheel is nearly impossible to dodge, after which he dashes at our Bomber with his signature Crash Drive. Be careful when choosing a weakness, as Thunder Bolt will only empower him!
They say his dislike of Punk may tie into street racing and auto club rivalries; Japanese Bōsōzokus.

#3 Astro Man

Appearing in both "Mega Man & Bass" and "Mega Man 8," this floaty Astrobot does not lack a personality to show: frail, cowardly, nerdy, and playful; this chubby robot almost makes you sorry for defeating him - twice. But do not let this facade dissuade you, "Astro Man" is a remarkable opponent thanks to his flying abilities. His signature moves are the "Homing Sniper," which chases Mega out of corners, and his "Rotating Orbs," which pivot all around. His ultimate attack, "Astro Crush," spawns a shower of gigantic fiery meteors. It is one of the best special weapons in "Mega Man 8." What's more, in "Mega Man & Bass," he showcases his ability to create digital clones with "Copy Vision." Is there anything this jolly robot can't do?

 #2 Cut Man

Kung Fu Cutman! While Cut Man's specialty isn't technically karate fighting, the glass-eyed timber-felling robot has certainly conquered the hearts of players; making him the most iconic Robot Master following his brother, Guts Man. He is quite a challenge in the original entry, and while his only attack is his remarkable "ceramic-titanium" scissor-head - pun intended - a single strike of its blade will chop a quarter of your health chips in a single cut. Talk about less equals more! Proof of his legacy, Cut Man has since appeared in over 12 Mega Man games, either as an enemy or a cameo! Talk about being the popular kid. We love this grimacing robot for his nerdier appearance, directly contrasting his buffer construction sibling, carrying his fatal weakness: a big chunk of rock; where's Paper Man when you need him?

 #1 Guts Man

Who else but Guts Man? Dr. Wily's own favorite robot, he was made his illegitimate son after his capture from Dr. Light's laboratory. Boy, did he love that robot. Is there anything in Wily's castle without his head on it? With his unforgiving stage filtering many players of the Nintendo Entertainment System classic, Guts Man didn't stop there. Once confronted, his mighty jumps will shake the ground, immobilizing our hero for a whole second, enough for Guts Man to bury you under massive chunks of concrete. What's more, his ass has gained meme status over the years; that's commendable. Besides, we just love a generic cartoon brute who makes all of us feel a little smarter. Guts Man beats his brother's score with well over 20 cameos!
