Review - Medabots RPG - Metabee & Rokusho (GBA)

Image
There's a game from my early teen that I always wanted to cover: Medabots RPG. Medabots was a short-lived series created amid the "Pokemon craze" of the late-90s, with many of its games on Nintendo's Gameboy exclusive to Japan under the name "Medarot".  Unlike the more Pokémon knockoff, Digimon; Medabots put to death the "creature" aspect of the series, toward collecting "medaparts" and "Tinpet" to build robotic fighters and become a "medafighter": [...] "a human who controls a Medabot through a Medawatch, engaging in Robattles."

Image
Robotron was released  on many systems In 2084, man creates a species of super-advanced cyborgs known as Robotrons. Recognizing the imperfect nature of their creators, the Robotrons conclude that the inefficient human race must be exterminated. In Robotron: 2084, only you and a single family of clones remain. If mankind is to survive, you must destroy the Grunts, Brains, Enforcers, and Tanks - but avoid the indestructible Hulks at all cost.

Quarter Suckers - Sinistar & Robotron 2084 (Double Feature)

Image
Named after it's infamous antagonist, Sinistar is a Williams Electronics arcade classics known for its intense, quarter-sucking difficulty and sound work, being the first stereo arcade machine ever released, as well as featuring Sinistar's never-seen before digitized voice, terrorizing players with its nerve-wracking voice lines - "Beware -  I live!" Williams Entertainment Inc. made Sinistar with its signature erratic, turbulent gameplay also found in Defender and Robotron 1984. It's main antagonist - Sinistar seems seems to be a sentient spacecraft bent on destruction and consumption, easily recognizable by his demonic cat face and demonic voice.
